I’m Lan Xu, a Brooklyn-based sound healer and meditation teacher.
My work combines sound healing, Chan meditation, and Taoist internal practices to support nervous system regulation and deep listening.
I offer 1-on-1 sound healing sessions and meditation guidance in Brooklyn, NYC and online.
My offerings are invitations rather than prescriptions. They are designed to support your return to equilibrium—through listening, attunement, and gentle, sustained practice. I work with individuals and groups who are drawn to embodied healing, ancestral wisdom, and non-extractive ways of caring for the self and the collective.
Who This Is For:
You feel overwhelmed, overstimulated, or mentally scattered
You’re curious about meditation but want a more intuitive approach
You’re sensitive to sound, energy, or environment
You’re seeking a grounded, non-performative healing space
1-on-1 Sessions
Nervous System Reset Sound Healing

"Deep listening is listening in every possible way to everything possible to hear no matter what you are doing."
- Pauline Oliveros
Your Frequency, Your Space.
Sound is a primary medicine in my practice. Through voice, instruments, and resonance-based listening, sound becomes a way to reorganize the nervous system, soften mental fixation, and invite spaciousness back into the body.
This session is an invitation into a multi-dimensional sonic experience—a gatway to emotional clarity, inner peace, and deep healing.
Weaving together the healing power of sound frequencies with elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Solfeggio frequencies, nature field recordings, and various colors of noise, each session is tailored to your unique energetic landscape.
Session Highlights:
- Immersive Sound Bath – Weaving field recordings, singing bowls, folk instruments, and synthesizers to create a resonant field for deep relaxation and release.
- Deep Listening Practice – Drawing on composer Pauline Oliveros’s work, we approach listening as meditation: resting not in the content of sound, but in awareness itself. Whether listening to a bowl, a breath, or silence, the invitation is the same—to be fully present with what is.

Community Services

Workshops, Rituals & Collective Spaces
I create temporary spaces for collective attunement—where healing is understood as relational and communal rather than purely individual.
Formats include:
- Workshops integrating sound, herbs, and meditation
- Ritual gatherings aligned with seasonal or lunar cycles
- Collaborations with artists, galleries, and healing spaces
- Retreats and pop-up healing environments
These spaces are designed to be slow, inclusive, and grounded in care.
How to Work Together
I work with individuals, collectives, institutions, and cultural spaces. Collaborations are shaped through conversation and mutual resonance.

Ethics & Boundaries
My practice is grounded in consent, care, and respect for individual autonomy. I do not diagnose, treat, or replace medical or psychological professionals. All offerings are educational, experiential, and supportive in nature.
Healing work unfolds best within clear boundaries. I honor pacing, choice, and the right to pause or stop at any time. Power dynamics—between teacher and participant, facilitator and group—are held with awareness and responsibility.
I work in ways that are non-extractive and culturally respectful. Lineages are acknowledged, not appropriated; plants are approached as living relations, not resources. I am committed to practices that do not exploit land, bodies, or belief systems.
Confidentiality, mutual respect, and clear communication are foundational to all collaborations.
Healing is not something I do to you. It is something we enter together—slowly, attentively, and with care.
