May we reconnect to our stillness and freshness in a time of chaos

What is meditation and what is not?

Meditation is to cultivate a habit of awareness that is unborn.

Meditation is not: blank out / blissed out / being peaceful and calm / watching thoughts / sitting well for a long time

I have never meditated, how do I start?

Being here is the start! You don’t even need a cushion. Find a comfortable seat where you won’t be bothered for a few minutes, could be on a chair or on the floor, and keep your spine loosely straight. You can start meditate!

Do I need to be a Buddhist or anything to meditate?

You don’t need to be anything other than being yourself. Period. Meditate is a fast-track for us to realize that.

What kind of meditation do you teach?

I teach: Loving-Kindness meditation (also called Metta) which help us opening the heart; breathing meditation, the foundation of all forms of meditation; sound meditation, focusing on the faculty of listening; open-awareness meditation, or silent illumination, which is an object-less meditation.

How often should I meditate?

It’s better do it five minutes a day rather than not doing it at all.

What can meditation do to help me?

A. It makes you better deal with everyday anxiety, if you live in a (post)modern life like I do; B. You will start blame others less, as you start to realize everything has a consequence and you can see how things evolve clearly; C.You will make happiness a habit that you can keep for life; D. You will have more space for breathing; E. Meditation is a toolkit for our mind when life goes in the way unwanted (and sure it will at some point and that’s exactly why it is called life); F. Now you’re able to be the director of your life rather than been dragged by the unpredictable current of life! G. Making friends with your anxiety, fear, distractions, anger, demon…etc, because you are aware of that they’re all part of you.

I have my regular meditation practice already, is there anything you can offer me?

Thanks for showing up! I’d love to connect with you as we know how important it is to keep a community that will help keeping our practice on track.
