May we reconnect to our stillness and freshness in a time of chaos

My name is Lan Xu. I am a multimedia artist, internal martial arts practitioner, meditation teacher, and sound healer.

My meditation practice began in 2009 at Dharma Drum Retreat Center, where I encountered the simplicity and clarity of Chan meditation. Since then, I have diligently studied Mahayana Buddhist dharma and received my meditation teacher training from Three Jewels in 2019.

Club Crystal Blue was created in my Brooklyn apartment during the stillness of 2020, drawing inspiration from the blue-white crystalline light of a diamond—inspired by the Diamond Sutra’s teachings on emptiness that cuts through illusion.

Since 2020, I have trained in Ba Gua Zhang internal martial arts while diving into the comprehensive system of Traditional Chinese Medicine rooted in Taoist practice. After the pandemic, my life shifted toward a global nomadic lifestyle—what I call a “soul surfing” journey across continents, collecting sounds from Pacific sunsets to Himalayan bowls to Mayan caves, weaving frequencies that connect with archetypal maternal energies.

In 2024, during the recovery phase of a severe ankle fracture, I began studying sound healing systematically. I completed sound healer training with Dream Seeds and gong training with Rev. Laksmi Scalise. I approach art and healing as inseparable practices, reflecting the ancient tradition of shamanism. Through immersive sonic experiences, I translate unseen frequencies between body, land, and consciousness.
